<br /> <br />CITY OF LAKEVILLE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />April 19, 2018 <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Swenson called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City <br />Hall. The pledge of allegiance to the flag was given. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Swenson, Vice Chair Kaluza, Jason Kelvie, Scott Einck, Karl <br />Drotning, Jeff Witte, Paul Jarvis <br /> <br />Members Absent: Brooks Lillehei, Ex-officio member Mike Lamm <br /> <br />Others Present: Daryl Morey, Planning Director; Frank Dempsey, Associate Planner; <br />Brent Jones, Planning Assistant/Code Enforcement Technician; Alex Jordan, Assistant <br />City Engineer; Dan Licht, The Planning Company; Penny Brevig, Recording Secretary <br /> <br />3. Approval of the Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />The April 5, 2018 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />4. Announcements <br /> <br />Mr. Morey stated the following were distributed at tonight’s meeting: <br /> <br />1. April 18, 2018 Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Committee draft motion <br />regarding the Rallis First Addition preliminary plat <br />2. Additional property owner requests pertaining to the draft 2040 Land Use Plan and <br />2040 MUSA Map for tonight’s work session discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Morey stated tonight’s work session will be held in the Council Chambers at the <br />conclusion of the regular Planning Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Morey encouraged Planning Commission members to visit the Land Use Training <br />& Education Program website ( and sign up for any of the government <br />training classes they provide. <br /> <br />Chair Swenson stated that he has taken some of these classes and he highly <br />recommends them. <br /> <br />5. YMCA <br /> <br />Chair Swenson opened the public hearing to consider the application of the YMCA for <br />a conditional use permit to allow a child day care facility in the C-3, General <br />Commercial District, located at 16331 Kenrick Avenue. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
