<br /> <br />CITY OF LAKEVILLE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br /> December 6, 2018 <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Kaluza called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City <br />Hall. The pledge of allegiance to the flag was given. <br /> <br />Members Present: Chair Pat Kaluza, Vice Chair Jason Kelvie, Jeff Witte, Jason <br />Swenson, Karl Drotning, Brooks Lillehei, Paul Jarvis, Ex-officio Mike Lamm <br /> <br />Members Absent: Scott Einck <br /> <br />Others Present: Daryl Morey, Planning Director; Frank Dempsey, Associate Planner; <br />Penny Brevig, Recording Secretary <br /> <br />3. Approval of the Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />The November 15, 2018 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br /> <br />4. Announcements None <br /> <br />5. Scott and Debra Newman <br /> <br />Chair Kaluza opened the public hearing to consider the application of Scott and Debra <br />Newman for a conditional use permit to allow a combined accessory building square <br />footage greater than 1,100 square feet and more than one detached accessory <br />building on a lot in the RS-3, Single Family Residential District and Shoreland Overlay <br />th <br />District, located at 10055 – 205 Street. <br /> <br />Joseph Robbins and Jennifer Otto from Gonyea Companies were at tonight’s meeting <br />to represent their clients, Scott and Debra Newman. Mr. Robbins stated that the <br />proposed total accessory building area is approximately 322 square feet over what is <br />allowed by the Zoning Ordinance. The Newmans would like to re-build the detached <br />garage and keep the small storage shed that is still on the property. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Frank Dempsey presented the planning report. Mr. Dempsey <br />explained that the project includes the removal of the existing home constructed in <br />1890 and removal of an old detached garage, both of which were recently demolished, <br />and the construction of a new home and new detached garage. An existing garden <br />shed is proposed to remain. <br /> <br />Mr. Dempsey reviewed the history of the site. He indicated that the single family home <br />and the accessory buildings all meet setback requirements per the Zoning Ordinance <br />Shoreland Overlay District requirements. The total proposed accessory building area, <br />including the attached garage, would be 1,422 square feet. The Zoning Ordinance <br /> <br /> <br />
